Base of Groundwater Protection (BGWP) Data

The BGWP elevation data provide BGWP elevations (metres above sea level) for every legal subdivision (LSD) across Alberta, with the exception of the mountainous region and the NE quarter of Alberta. The BGWP is the best estimate of the elevation of the base of the formation in which nonsaline groundwater occurs at that location.
