Description

ST37: List of Wells in Alberta represents all wells as reported to the AER and is available in PDF, TXT, and Shapefile format.

The PDF format includes the following information for all oil and gas wells (confidential and non-confidential): Well identifier, Well name, Licence number, Field/pool and/or area/deposit, Operator, Licensee, Total depth, Finished drilling date, Well status

The TXT file format includes the following attributes for all non-confidential wells: Well identifier (Prod string UWI), Well name, Field, Pool, Area Id, Deposit Id, Well licence number, Licence status, Licence issue date, Licensee BA Id, Agent BA Id, Operator BA Id, Final drill date, Final total depth, Well status code, Well status date, Fluid short description, Mode short description, Type short description, Structure short description, Scheme type, Scheme sub-type

Layout Document: This product includes detailed descriptions of the record layout and data mode. For complex files, the layout documentation also includes descriptions of the source data, limitations, editing during file creation, and maintenance. (For TXT file only.)

The Shapefile format includes bottom holes, surface holes, and well geometry feature classes for all non-confidential wells as follows:

Bottom Holes Feature Class: same as with TXT file format, with the addition of: bottom hole longitude, bottom hole latitude, Max true vertical depth, Kelly bushing elevation, Ground elevation

Surface Holes Feature Class: Licence number, Company name, SH actual latitude, SH actual longitude, Kelly bushing elevation (KBE), Ground elevation, Surface location, EDCT, Rating level, Licence status, Licence status date, Operational surveillance provision

Well Geometry Feature Class: Well licence number, UWI, UWI label, Geometry source, Final total depth, Max true vertical depth, Kelly bushing elevation

Shapefiles are available in GCS NAD83 and NAD83 10TM AEP Forest Projections.
