Information pertaining to pipelines regulated by the AER and that operate solely within the province’s boundaries. Pipelines that cross provincial or federal borders are regulated by the National Energy Board. For information related to pipeline applications, please see Applications. Description

This product is in paper format and contains the historical pipeline survey maps that were submitted to the AER for pipeline permit applications.

AER submission regulations changed over the years, therefore this product may contain the following:

  • prior to March 2002: a complete history of submissions which may include As Built, Right of Way Plan, Base Maps over the life time of the pipeline
  • March 2002 to June 2009: Base Maps submissions only
  • July 2009 to March 2012: Right of Way Plan and Base Map submissions
  • April 2012 to current: refer to product Pipeline Application and Supporting Documents

The link to Alberta Land Titles Spatial Information System (SPIN) below allows search of survey plans (right-of-way) by the legal land description (ATS), municipal address, or map. Information can be downloaded, emailed and printed as required.
