In support of Directive 081: Water Disposal Limits and Measurement and Reporting Requirements for Thermal In Situ Oil Sands Schemes, the thermal in situ (TIS) water publication provides monthly and annual water use information for thermal in situ oil sands schemes in Alberta since 2018.

It details the monthly, year-to-date water use for commercial in situ oil sands schemes. Information is collected from the Petrinex. This report includes the following information:

• approval number
• scheme operator (holder name)
• scheme name
• scheme type (commercial-SAGD & commercial-CSS).

Outlined by year and month will be a breakdown by water type (fresh/brackish/produced), water rations, and recycle formulas.
